How we handle data
We built SignalsHunt to help you find clients — not to hoard data. Here is exactly what we store, what we don't, and how we keep things fair for everyone involved.
We don't store business data from Google
When you run a search, SignalsHunt uses Google's Places API to find real, currently operating businesses. We only keep a reference ID for each business — never their name, address, or phone number in our database. If you revisit a past search, we fetch the current business details fresh from Google each time. This follows Google Maps Platform's data handling requirements.
We respect opt-outs
Any business can ask to be excluded from future searches at any time via our opt-out form. Once excluded, that business will never appear in SignalsHunt results again, for any user.
Sending messages responsibly is on you
SignalsHunt generates message content. You're responsible for how you send it — including following applicable email laws (like CAN-SPAM, GDPR, or CASL depending on your location), which typically require your real business address and an easy way to unsubscribe.
What we do keep
We keep your generated messages and a record of your searches so you can track your outreach over time. We do not sell, share, or rent any data to third parties.
